1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines how Crown Voyages Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) manages booking changes, cancellations, and refund requests.
Crown Voyages Pvt Ltd is a Maldives-registered travel company specializing in resort bookings, flight reservations, and holiday packages.
We also operate internationally through our representative office – Crown Voyages Limited (Hong Kong SAR).
All customer payments are securely processed through the Bank of Maldives (BML) Payment Gateway or via international SWIFT bank transfer.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 A booking is confirmed only once full or partial payment has been received and a confirmation email has been issued.
2.2 We accept two payment methods:
- 💳 Bank of Maldives (BML) Payment Gateway — for local and international card payments.
- 🏦 SWIFT Bank Transfer — for direct international wire payments to our official business account.
2.3 All payments are processed securely through encrypted systems. Crown Voyages does not store card details on its servers.
2.4 Any additional bank or transfer fees must be borne by the customer unless stated otherwise.
3. Free Cancellation Period
3.1 Unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation, free cancellation is available up to 30 days before check-in.
3.2 However, all cancellations are ultimately subject to the individual resort or supplier’s policy, which will be clearly indicated on your invoice or booking confirmation.
3.3 Certain special offers, peak-season rates, or promotional bookings may be non-refundable or only partially refundable.
3.4 Any cancellation made within 30 days of check-in will follow the supplier’s cancellation charges as defined in their policy.
4. How to Cancel a Booking
4.1 All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to reservations@crownvoyages.com.
4.2 The date and time of your written request (Maldives local time) will be considered the official cancellation time.
4.3 Once the resort or supplier confirms acceptance of the cancellation, you will receive an official Cancellation Confirmation Email from Crown Voyages.
5. Refund Process
5.1 Refunds are processed only after confirmation from the respective resort, airline, or supplier.
5.2 Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original booking — either through the BML Payment Gateway or SWIFT transfer.
5.3 Standard processing time for refunds is 14 – 30 business days from the date supplier confirmation is received.
5.4 The refund amount will reflect any applicable supplier or bank charges, currency conversion fees, and administrative deductions.
5.5 Crown Voyages will provide written confirmation once the refund has been successfully processed.
6. Non-Refundable Bookings
6.1 Non-refundable bookings include:
- Promotional or discounted offers marked as non-refundable at the time of booking.
- Peak-season packages or last-minute deals specified by suppliers.
6.2 In such cases, no refund or date change will be permitted once payment has been made.
7. Amendments & Date Changes
7.1 Requests to change travel dates, villa categories, or meal plans are treated as modifications and are subject to resort availability.
7.2 Suppliers may charge additional fees for amendments depending on the new dates or conditions.
7.3 Crown Voyages will advise you of any applicable charges before confirming the modification.
8. Force Majeure
If your travel plans are affected by unforeseen events beyond your control — such as natural disasters, pandemics, flight cancellations, or government restrictions — Crown Voyages will make every effort to liaise with suppliers to secure a credit, rebooking, or partial refund.
Such resolutions are, however, dependent on the supplier’s discretion.
9. Responsibility & Limitations
9.1 Crown Voyages Pvt Ltd acts as a booking intermediary and not as the direct service provider.
9.2 Refund eligibility and timelines are determined by each resort, airline, or supplier, not by Crown Voyages or BML.
9.3 Crown Voyages is not responsible for delays in refund issuance caused by suppliers or banking institutions.
